CantStayJose's Yellow Knuckle

Another bike that I shot several pictures of while I was at Sante Fe Importers. Cool details, and, well, it's a knuck.

Life doesn't suck.

Ax's Shovelhead

I shot quite a few pics while I was at Santa Fe Importers.  These shots are of a cool little cone shovel that was parked kinda deep in the lot.  Owner's name is Ax, a real cool dude that is currently building a '67 Genny Shovel...and we all know how I feel about those.

Ol' boy needs some parts on the cheap for the aforementioned genny project, hit me up at theh8ter@hotmail.com so I can collect my reward...

My first trip to Santa Fe Importers for the famous lunch ride...

I rode in from the IE. Split lanes, hauled ass...me and Otto. I've heard great things about this monthly meeting of chopper dudes. Awesome food, awesome bikes.  They're right: good sandwich, cool bikes. Knuckle, shovel, flattie, FXR, coupla Dynas.  But, whilst I sit and talk with a guy about shovelheads and their greatness, I look to my left and what do I see? Otto Von Blotto stealing the show, drawing the crowd, holding CLASS with his new Ducati Hyper...

I guess Italians make everybody horny...

I like utilitarian motorcycles

So, a dual sport(ster) seems perfectly reasonable to me.

I called these two "The Twins"

I was mad at my shovelhead that day, so I didn't get any detailed shots. Now I'm mad at myself.

So, I'm talking with Otto and I get going on Captain Blaster's '59 Pan

Low and behold, Otto had met the man whilst jet setting in Italy. They again crossed paths in Japan at the Mooneyes Show.  Otto tells me that Captain Blaster is good people, mellow and enjoys good food.  Nice things to hear for sure.  Anyhow, the Panhead is beautiful and has been one of my favorites since the day I saw it. Spaghetti stripes I think he called 'em.

{ { { SERIES } } } My eBay obsessions

Ok, I'm a dreamer. No crime in that, right? I often find myself obsessing over motorcycles on eBay, thinking of ways to buy them.  Oh well, hasn't happened yet, but someday....someday I hope to go to the grocery store and come home with a '51 Pan chop and an OG '63 Duo Glide. Nah, that just doesn't happen.

1957 Panhead that I couldn't get over for a while.  Check out that HUGE headlight!

So, we have a road called the Ortega Highway...

Usually a pretty fun ride.  Just got my bike back, figured it would be a good time to get reacquainted.

How it began:

So, I got this:

Cajun turkey on sourdough. Orzo and feta pasta salad dressed with pesto and sun dried tomatoes.

Ate it on the patio:

Thank you for the recommendation Mister Von Blotto.

Yeah, baby. Yeah.

I'm saying.

We're on a mission from god...

"It's got a cop motor, cop tires, and cop shocks"

Ok, it's got a 95" motor, new tires and short little shocks, but still.  I had a chance at this retired Iowa FXDP a few years ago.  Shoulda jumped on it, but didn't.

Tick, tock. Soon, it won't be STOCK.

Well, my Bermuda Triangle post returned.  Here it is, all random in the middle of the day. Sorry for the rerun.

I once read on Church of Choppers that "Stock is Cock". I couldn't agree more.  So, my 2005 FXDXI has been out at Dave Mackie Engineering getting some motor work done.  It's taken longer than anticipated, but it looks like I'll finally get to ride in the next week or so.

The 90's East Coast style is really growing on me...

Indian Larry, Steg, English Don.  Very influential bikes. Utilitarian. Hard. Beautiful. Purposeful. Dig 'em. And yes, once again...I love that 19" mag wheel.  Can't get enough of 'em.
